RESTORE YOUR BIO-ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD
Today we are exploring the practice of connecting our body to the Earth’s magnetic field, which is a very low and steady 8hz charge, as this practice allows us to discharge all that high frequency energy that is flying around our environment, altering and distorting our body’s natural bio-electromagnetic field.
Grounding out high frequency energy from our field into the Earth can be done most directly by lying down on the grass, the forest floor or a sandy beach, though there is very simple and effective technology that can allow us to use the electrical grounding system inside any properly wired building in order to connect to the Earth’s balancing 8 Hz charge.
GROUNDING AT THE BEACH
Of course, everyone knows that lying on the beach is incredibly relaxing and there’s been plenty of research into how the concentration of negative ions at the beach are so beneficial for our health because they donate electrons to our bio-electromagnetic field.
And we know that negative ions are produced in mass by the crashing water of the waves, so walking right by the breaking waves is where you get the freshest air. And this is also one reason you may be drawn to linger in the shower, because breathing in the negative ions from crashing water is just really refreshing…
But negative ions are not the only beneficial effect we get from the beach. Walking along the beach also helps our electrical body to connect to the low 8 Hz frequency of the Earth… and this is especially pronounced when you lay down on the beach for a while.
Have you ever laid down on the beach and gotten so relaxed that you get the sensation of feeling you’re actually like, magnetically stuck to the ground? Like the beach is literally holding you down, in a very pleasant and relaxing way, but you are going to have to really uhhhhhh! push! to get yourself up!
And I’m sure you have noticed that you also get very refreshed from laying on the beach like this, and also that if you get up too quickly from this deep relaxation, you feel groggy and a bit discombobulated…. but if you lay there long enough, you end up feeling deeply recharged.
Well, these effects are not due to negative ions but from being so directly connected to the Earth’s slowly oscillating 8 hz frequency.
This low frequency slows your electromagnetic field down immensely, which allows your body to literally “ground out” all those high frequencies that have entered into your field, such as and wifi’s standard 2.4 gigahertz frequency and cell phones with 4 and 5 gigahertz frequencies.
You know, there is an invisible sea of high frequency energy that we are swimming in all the time.
So grounding ourselves to the Earth by laying on the beach or the forest floor is a powerful natural remedy that can help us detoxify at the body’s electromagnetic level, and, as would make sense, this has a very powerful effect on our brain and our nervous system, both of which are highly electrical.
Seen from a more conventional medical perspective, grounding lets our autonomous nervous system drop into a very deep parasympathetic state, which helps to restore our foundation of centered focus, presence, clarity, and restores equilibrium to all the body’s systems.
HOW TO DO AN INTENTIONAL GROUNDING PRACTICE
To do an intention grounding practice, you can lay around on the beach and wait for grounding to happen naturally, but it’s actually pretty easy to do this consciously to speed up the process of grounding. You lay on the beach, on the grass, really anywhere on the earth is fine, and you can use a blanket or a towel to not get too dirty if you prefer, because the electromagnetic frequency of the Earth can definitely pass through fabric. Though having some direct skin contact is probably more effective.
Close your eyes as this helps you focus on your internal sensations. The first thing you are going to do is to let all of your weight fall into the Earth. This is more than just laying there, ok. You can lay there and still be in tension and holding your weight. You can lay there and be fidgety… or you can really let go and let your weight drop into the Earth.
I think the best way to describe this feeling is like down sinking into the Earth… all of your weight dropping, and you are present, feeling yourself surrender. Surrender is really the key word. You want to let go of your body just like in Sivasana or “dead man pose” in Yoga if you are familiar with that.
As you practice releasing your control of your body and grip of your body, you may feel involuntary movements or twitches. And if you feel your body twitching, just continue to surrender and let your body move itself, this is probably just helping to relax, but do not exaggerate or follow these movements. Simply witness and continue to let go of your grip on your body.
This practice, when done while laying on the Earth, is a very effective short-cut to grounding, and this technique can help you take a truly advanced power nap wherein you don’t actually go to sleep, but you get more refreshed than if you had spent the same amount of time just sleeping. This practice is deeply replenishing to our mind, our emotions and our physical state.
INDOOR GROUNDING TECHNOLOGY
Now imagine what like would be like if you could have the vitality boosting effects of sleeping on the beach every night in the comfort of your own bed?
This is exactly what is offered by simple grounding technology. And while it truly isn’t as good as laying on the beach, it’s really close. Grounding pads can be used in a wide variety of ways to effectively ground out microwaves and high frequencies from our electromagnetic field, bringing us into harmony with the Earth’s natural frequency.
HOW DOES GROUNDING WORK?
And you’re probably wondering are probably wondering how a ground pad works. It is a very simple technology that takes advantage of the electrical grounding system in any properly wired home or building. In order for electricity to work, it actually has to be grounded into the Earth. Electricity can’t be used safely until it goes into the Earth and bounces back, so all electrical systems require a ground, and this is usually by means of copper rod driven around 20 feet or so into the Earth.
Grounding pads have two components to them. First you need fabric that has nano-copper strands woven in so that the fabric is soft, yet also conductive and able to carry a grounding charge. Then you need a grounded plug with a copper wire that is only connected to the round ground post on the plug and not to the hot electrical posts.
You put this plug into a grounded outlet and it connects with the grounding system of your house. Then you use an alligator clip or another electrical connector to connect the grounding plug to your conductive fabric.
Now you have a sheet or blanket that is carrying this 8hz ground charge directly to your body, making your bed electromagnetically equivalent to laying right there on the beach.
MY EXPERIENCE WITH GROUNDING PADS
When I first started using a grounding pad I was in my early 30s and I’d guess I was at least a year behind on sleep. I’ve been a parent for over a decade now and have managed various businesses, while also enjoying an active social life. At some point, I just became accustomed to getting less sleep than I really needed, and this was having a cumulative effect that I wasn’t really aware of. In hindsight, I see that I was getting accustomed to not feeling my best and to not getting as much quality sleep as I really need.
So I when I started sleeping with a grounding pad, I actually had to sleep in every morning. It was imperative. I literally felt glued to the bed and when I got up I felt more exhausted than refreshed. Sleeping on the grounding pad, at first, made me more sluggish and discombobulated. I just felt all out of whack.
But eventually this shifted and after just a few weeks of using it every night I got to where I felt fully caught up on sleep which was something that I had completely forgotten was possible and I even started waking up feeling wide awake after only 5-6 hours of sleep.
Now I tend to sleep very regular hours, roughly 11 or midnight to 7 or 8am, and I feel that this is a very natural sleep rhythm that I have gotten into with the help of the grounding pad.
Quality sleep is absolutely fundamental to our health and wellness, so sleeping on a grounding pad is truly one of the main foundations for my health and vitality.
